Although it’s not the end all response in antique authentication and dating, it is a good place to start. Read on for 4 fine ways to utilize black light testing
ü Detect Porcelain Repairs: Prior to buying or selling a nice piece of porcelain, always take it into a darkened room with a keychain black light to test for repairs. Contemporary paints will glow under the black light as well hence you can identify touch-ups, repaints and embellishments with ultraviolet light.
ü Test for Reproduction Glass: Both green Depression glass and Vaseline glass will shine under a black light due the uranium oxide content in the glass. But now I’m back. Master of myself (maybe!). Well, it’s always a good indeed a very good idea to take out some time for ones family, and spend great time with them. Above all, why do earn millions and millions of bucks.

Besides, serving the historical and scientific function, antique maps frequently classify themselves as works of fine, arty worth. Thus, Maps from 16th, 17th, and 18th century were so planned and designed that they served the dual purpose of instructing and for drawing client’s attention.
Such maps, by and large, reflected the creative profile of the times, when they were created and shaped. One can very well see, the late 16th century maps, which saw the style and fashion of enfolding the title of the map or mileage scale in an ornamental pictograph.
But soon, the method and style changed and Baroque emerged as the most fashionable style. It originated from Italy, in the late 16th century; integrating minute details and heavy facets, with gallant and bold sweeping curves.
Such hold and ancient maps have always inspired me in one or more ways. These are the prized and loved possession I proudly own, though not many. They are apart from being useful and significant in their own way, are also a decorative and amazing object or article to dangle it down on ones wall. My living room is full with it!
